Race Around the World

The Race Around the World is an annual fundraiser to support NOMV and raise awareness of veterinary medicical professionals mental health. Participants sign up online and then track their activities throughout the month. Participants also raise money through their personal fundraising page!

Race Around the World will now take place throughout the month of May for the United State's Mental Health Awareness Month!

Sign ups will be live in April 2025! In the meantime, if you are interested in creating a team, submit your team information here.

NOMV wants to make our Race Around the World personalized to fit your needs. Your registration fee goes to cover the costs of the race and to NOMV’s programs with no extras taken out for t-shirts, etc. If you want merch, we will now have a selection of items in the NOMV Shop!

NOMV is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Everything we accomplish relies on the generosity of our donors. The funds raised are allocated by the NOMV Volunteer Board of Directors based on programmatic needs. Because the Race Around the World is such a large part of our annual income, we use the funds raised to support several programs including support grants to individuals in crisis, educational programming, peer support programs, and special projects like CLEAR Blueprint and special projects.

Technically everyone who participates is a winner because all participants develop their wellbeing while simultaneously raising awareness and funds for a common cause with thousands of other people across the globe! But, yes, there are also actual winners. Throughout the race, there is a visible leaderboard that lets us know which individuals and teams are raising the most money and which are racking up the most miles for our mission. In 2025, the individual who takes the most virtual steps and the individual who raises the most for NOMV will be featured with their pet and their vet on NOMV social media.
