Not One More Vet (NOMV) Announces the Election of Dr. Brian J. Bourquin as President of the Board of Directors and the 2024 Board Members of the Executive Committee

The Board of Directors of Not One More Vet (NOMV) are pleased to announce the election of Dr. Brian J. Bourquin as President. The Board of Directors also elected Paul Mataras as Treasurer and Caitlin Furlong as Secretary.
Dr. Brian J. Bourquin has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2019 and co-founded and served on the CLEAR Blueprint committee. Dr. Bourquin has been a general practitioner since 2001 upon graduating from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Boston Veterinary Clinic, a five-location clinic primary & urgent care practice in Greater Boston. In addition to his work with NOMV, Dr. Bourquin currently serves on the Board of the Massachusetts Veterinary Management Association (MVMA).
Dr. Bourquin brings considerable experience in creating and building non-profit organizations through his work as founding member of Toys 4 Joys, a Massachusetts based toy charity, G4G, a Boston-based LGBTQIA+ volunteer group providing help to other local chariRes. He has served as a Board of Governor and Gala Chairman for the New England chapter of the Human Rights Campaign. Dr. Bourquin currently lives in Brookline Massachusetts with his husband, Paul Mataras, and their two daughters and three furry companions, Sushi, Gryf, and Doug.
The Board of Directors and staff extend their heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to Dr. Carrie Jurney for her Board Presidency since 2020. Her positive impact on NOMV’s mission and the state of veterinary mental health has been immeasurable, and we thank her for her years of service to our industry. Dr. Jurney will continue serving on the Board of Directors as a President emeritus and at large member.
