On October 1st, 2014, Dr. Nicole McArthur founded NOMV (Not One More Vet) in response to the heartbreaking suicide of the esteemed veterinarian, Dr. Sophia Yin. What began as a humble Facebook group soon blossomed into a vibrant veterinary mental health community where veterinarians could share their triumphs and challenges, offering each other a lifeline of understanding and support.

As the conversations grew, so did our community, surpassing anything Dr. McArthur could have imagined. Today, our forum boasts a membership of around 40,000 veterinary professionals, each contributing to our network's collective strength and resilience.

Our mission is to transform the status of mental wellness in the profession so veterinary professionals can survive and thrive through education, resources, and support.

What We Do

NOMV has evolved into a remarkable non-profit organization dedicated to the well-being of veterinary professionals and students worldwide. We provide vital education, unwavering support, and essential resources, creating a sanctuary where those who care for animals can find the care they need themselves. Together, we are transforming the landscape of veterinary medicine and veterinary mental health, ensuring that no vet feels alone.
